A SPRING TRIP TO LENOX, MA.

Join the Friends of  SCPL on Tuesday, May 22nd, as we travel to Lenox Massachusetts.

Our first stop will be The Mount, the home of author Edith Wharton.  After a guided tour of the house, we will enjoy lunch (see below for lunch choices) on the terrace with time afterwards to visit the gift shop or gardens.

From The Mount, we will go to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston  Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops.  We will have a guided tour of the grounds including the Koussevitzky Music Shed, Ozawa Hall, other music facilities, the Visitor Center history rooms, and more. Please note: The  one hour Tanglewood tour includes about a half mile of walking.

Our final stop for the day is Ventfort Hall, a Gilded Age mansion built in 1893 as a summer “cottage” for Sarah Morgan, the sister of J.P. Morgan.

The cost of the trip is $85 for Friends members and $95 for non-members.  Price includes: transportation, admissions, lunch and driver gratuity. CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION FORM
