Great Decisions

The Great Decisions discussion series on foreign policy issues will start on February 7, 2017. We will be meeting every Tuesday in February through March at 9:30 a.m. in the McChesney Room, but each meeting is about a different topic, so you may attend any or all of them.

The program is free of charge and is sponsored by the national, non-partisan, Foreign Policy Association ( The FPA provides a video introducing the main issues, which is played during the first half hour of each meeting. The FPA also publishes a discussion guide, which contains a comprehensive balanced 10-page review of each topic. The published guide is very helpful, but not mandatory. The guide will be available for purchase (by check only) in mid-January at the Central Library Reference Desk. Previous members of Great Decisions are being contacted by e-mail or U.S. mail with details.
