You can support Friends of Schenectady County Public Library in many ways

Membership in the Friends is a great way to meet new people, travel, or volunteer with us

Many opportunities to volunteer are available, both in the bookstores and behind the scenes

The Friends operates two bookstores staffed by volunteers: Whitney Book Corner and A Second Look

Book sales are held in the Spring and Fall at the Central Library. Proceeds support library programs.

The Friends accepts books in gently used, saleable condition. Books are sold in the stores and at book sales.

The Friends accept monetary donations to support the library’s purchases of new materials. Online donations will be accepted soon.
