Volunteer Opportunities
Share your love of books with like-minded people! Whether working in our bookstores, sorting incoming materials, organizing our programs, and more, the Friends is a great way to meet new people and support literacy in the community. Volunteer with us! Check out our Volunteer Opportunities page to volunteer at the stores, online sales, program support, book sales, and events. For ages 11-18, Join the Junior Friends!
Bookstores
The Friends operate two bookstores โ the Whitney Book Cornerย and A Second Lookย โ staffed by volunteers and stocked with gently used books donated from the community and library discards. Proceeds from the stores and biannual book sales benefit library programs.
